Regular Season Round 19: Brisas - Tinguiririca SF 47-70

Rather expected game when 9th ranked Brisas (2-14) were smashed by sixth ranked Tinguiririca SF (8-6) in Santiago 70-47 on Friday. Tinguiririca SF forced 19 Brisas turnovers and outrebounded them 43-25 including a 35-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. The former international forward Julius Holt (187-85) notched 9 points and 10 rebounds to lead the effort and Keinder Albarracin supported him with 20 points. Even 8 points and 4 assists by guard Felipe Oyarzun (187-89) did not help to save the game for Brisas. Ian Romo (-1) added 9 points and 5 rebounds for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Tinguiririca SF moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Truenos. Brisas lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 14 games lost. Tinguiririca SF will meet at home higher ranked Stadio Italiano (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Brisas' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Santiago to the arena Boston College.
