The game between Top Four teams took place in Porlamar. Leader host Guaiqueries (8-0) smashed 3rd placed Cangrejeros (3-6) 87-57. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Cangrejeros. Guaiqueries dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Cangrejeros' 24. They outrebounded Cangrejeros 46-21 including a 33-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. Guaiqueries looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was international forward Jose Ascanio (204-96) who scored 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Swingman Luis Duarte (190-94) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds. Four Guaiqueries players scored in double figures. The former international swingman Jorge Rondon (193-90) produced 15 points and guard Heldrin Guillent (180-98) added 12 points respectively for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guaiqueries have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain first place with 8-0 record. Loser Cangrejeros dropped to the fifth position with six games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
