This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of much higher ranked Sunset (5-2) to fourth ranked Bulldogs (5-1) 51-48 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Sunset. Swingman Andrea Batres (170-93) fired 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Point guard Rosa Reyes (162-89) chipped in 6 points and 12 rebounds. Center Paola Ortiz (172-1) produced 6 points and 18 rebounds and Madeline Recinos (168-1) added 11 points and 14 rebounds respectively for lost side. Bulldogs moved-up to third place, which they share with Teclenas. Sunset at the other side dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. They share it with Sivar. Bulldogs is looking forward to face league's second-placed Lincoln in San Salvador in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Sunset will play against Marlins and is hoping to win this game.
