Everything went according to plan in Quilpue where fourth ranked Los Leones (4-3) beat bottom-ranked Espanol de Talca (0-8) 73-55 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Gianncarlo Caraboni (-90) who scored 20 points and 5 rebounds. The former international guard Barham Amor (185-96) chipped in 11 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Four Los Leones players scored in double figures. Center Claudio Cabrera (200-88) produced 21 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Ricardo Gomez (176-93) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Los Leones moved-up to third place, which they share with Ancud. Loser Espanol de Talca still closes the standings with eight games lost. Los Leones will meet Temuco (#5) on the road in the next round. Espanol de Talca will play against Puente Alto and hopes to get finally their first victory.
