Rather expected game in Talca where 6th ranked Truenos (8-7) were defeated by third ranked Manquehue (12-4) 69-52 on Sunday. Manquehue outrebounded Truenos 51-35 including a 38-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Juan Peters (-93) who scored 18 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Oscar Tapia (-94) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 15 rebounds. Manquehue's coach used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Nick Morales (187-85) who recorded a double-double by scoring 12 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists and Alessandro Morales (-98) added 12 points and 4 assists respectively. Manquehue moved-up to second place, which they share with Boston College. Loser Truenos keep the sixth position with seven games lost.
