Regular Season Round 9: Ferro - Platense 77-74

Bottom-ranked Platense is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they lost on the road their seventh consecutive match to fourth ranked Ferro (7-2) 77-74. Swingman Valentin Bettiga (189-99) stepped up and scored 8 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and point guard Rodrigo Gallegos (186-91) chipped in 15 points and 6 assists. Ferro's coach Federico Fernandez allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The best for the losing side was Felipe Pais (183-90) with 28 points and point guard Andres Lugli (188-95) scored 10 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals. Ferro have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. Platense at the other side still closes the standings with seven games lost. Ferro will play against Comunicaciones (#16) in Mercedes in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Platense will play at home against La Union (#18) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
