Rather expected game when 9th ranked Olimpico (4-4) was smashed by sixth ranked San Martin (6-2) in La Banda 77-50 on Thursday. San Martin looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. International Matias Solanas (192-98) nailed 14 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and the former international forward Fabian Ramirez (200-90) accounted for 13 points. Point guard Juan Morales (183-94) came up with 12 points and forward Santiago Arese (196-87) added 6 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Olimpico in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. San Martin moved-up to third place, which they share with Gimnasia and Boca. Loser Olimpico dropped to the tenth position with four games lost. They share it with Obras. San Martin will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Olimpico will play against Regatas (#14) in Corrientes and hope to secure a win.
