The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Lincoln as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Lincoln defeated 3rd ranked Bulldogs in San Salvador 57-47. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Bulldogs. Lincoln forced 21 Bulldogs turnovers and outrebounded them 47-31 including 32 on the defensive glass. Alejandra Menendez (175-0) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 15 rebounds. Forward Camila Lima (172-3) contributed with 12 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Valeria Castro (170-1) replied with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and center Leslie Sermeno (176-97) added 8 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Bulldogs. Lincoln (7-0) have an impressive seven-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with San Marcos. Bulldogs at the other side dropped to the sixth place with two games lost. Bulldogs will play next round against Gorlias trying to get back on the winning streak. Lincoln will try to continue on its current victory against fifth ranked Sunset on the road.
