There was a surprise result in Almagra where thirteenth ranked Atenas (4-5) smashed higher ranked San Lorenzo (5-4) 96-61 on Saturday. Atenas dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to San Lorenzo's 28. Worth to mention a great performance of Ignacio Segura (195-0) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Jonatan Basualdo (198-99) who added 18 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Four Atenas players scored in double figures. Juan Ramayo responded with 18 points and power forward Ian Cerino (206-2) scored 8 points and 9 rebounds. San Lorenzo's coach gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Atenas moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Argentino. Loser San Lorenzo dropped to the ninth position with four games lost. Atenas will meet at home Platense (#19) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. San Lorenzo will play against Riachuelo LR (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
