Rather expected game when 6th ranked Espanol de Talca (1-9) was defeated at home by fourth ranked Puente Alto (6-4) 86-77 on Sunday. Puente Alto shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 53.8 percentage. Center Joaquin Pino (-0) stepped up and scored 17 points for the winners and Franco Garrido (181-86) chipped in 13 points and 6 rebounds. Five Puente Alto players scored in double figures. Puente Alto's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was forward Diego Zerene (-0) with 17 points and 7 assists and the former international Mohunir Zerene (187-94) scored 21 points and 5 rebounds. Puente Alto have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to third place. Espanol de Talca lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with nine games lost.
