Regular Season Round 9: Temuco - Los Leones 62-82

Rather predictable result when third ranked Los Leones (5-4) outscored on the road 5th ranked Temuco (2-8) 82-62 on Sunday. They outrebounded Temuco 38-27 including 26 on the defensive glass. The former international forward Darrol Jones (193-94) stepped up and scored 37 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds for the winners and the former international guard Barham Amor (185-96) chipped in 7 points, 7 rebounds, 11 assists and 6 steals. The best for the losing side was Michael Ernst (187-82) with 15 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international center Carlos Aranda (200-92) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Four Temuco players scored in double figures. Temuco's coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Los Leones maintains third place with 5-4 record having six points less than leader Puerto Varas, which they share with Ancud. Temuco lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with eight games lost.
