Not a big story in a game in Corrientes where 14th ranked Olimpico (5-6) was defeated by sixth ranked San Martin (7-2) 77-68 on Monday. It was a great evening for international Javier Saiz (206-94) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). International Matias Solanas (192-98) helped adding 17 points. Point guard Guillermo Aliende (178-97) responded with 10 points and 5 rebounds and swingman Federico Grun (191-96) scored 8 points and 5 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. San Martin moved-up to third place. Olimpico lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh position with six games lost. They share it with Union SF. San Martin will meet at home Penarol (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Olimpico will have a break next round.
