Gladiadores outrebounded Trotamundos 48-18 including a 13-1 advantage in offensive rebounds. American-Mexican forward Tony Mitchell (203-92, college: N.Texas) notched 19 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and the former international point guard Carlos Cedeno (193-85, college: Frank Phillips) supported him with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Five Gladiadores players scored in double figures. Gladiadores' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 23 points and 9 assists by American point guard Keron DeShields (190-92, college: Tennessee St., agency: BIG) did not help to save the game for Trotamundos. Naturalized American Donta Smith (201-83, college: SE Illinois JC) added 22 points and 5 rebounds for the hosts.
