Everything could happen in Corrientes at the game between two tied teams. Both thirteenth ranked Penarol and 12th ranked Regatas had identical 4-5 record. But Regatas was not able to use a home court advantage and was edged by the opponent from Mar del Plata 89-87 on Wednesday night. It was a great evening for Bruno Sansimoni (194-96) who led his team to a victory scoring 12 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Carlos Buemo (194-96, agency: BIG) helped adding 17 points. Penarol's coach Leandro Ramella used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Penarol (5-5) moved-up to tenth place. Regatas at the other side dropped to the fourteenth position with six games lost. They share it with Comunicaciones. Penarol will meet higher ranked San Martin (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Regatas will play against the league's leader Gimnasia (#1) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
