Everything went according to plan when fourteenth ranked Ferro (5-7) outplayed 18th ranked H.Americano (1-7) in Buenos Aires 83-54 on Wednesday. Ferro forced 22 H.Americano turnovers and outrebounded them 41-29 including 31 on the defensive glass. Andres Fernandez nailed 17 points for the winning side and Joaquin Lo Brutto accounted for 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Ferro's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Damian Fernandez (194-2) came up with 13 points and 7 rebounds and swingman Ramiro Ledesma (192-0) added 5 points and 10 rebounds respectively for H.Americano in the defeat. Ferro moved-up to eleventh place. Loser H.Americano keeps the eighteenth position with seven games lost. Ferro will meet at home Quimsa (#16) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. H.Americano will play against Regatas in Corrientes and hope to win that game.
