There was a surprise result in Junin where thirteenth ranked Argentino (5-6) defeated higher ranked Union (9-7) 80-68 on Friday. Center Ezequiel Filipetti (200-1) fired a double-double by scoring 24 points and 15 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) for the winners. Point guard Agustin Cavallin (188-1) chipped in 30 points and 6 rebounds. Argentino's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Forward Joel Peralta (196-3) produced 14 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and guard Julian Salaberry (189-98) added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Argentino moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with San Lorenzo. Loser Union keeps the sixth position with seven games lost. Argentino will meet at home league's leader Comunicaciones in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Union will play against the league's second-placed Boca Jrs (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.
