Another exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Montevideo: Nacional (#8) and Defensor (#11). Nacional (5-4) won against visiting Defensor (2-8) 70-65. Nacional looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Central African-American power forward Johndre Jefferson (207-88, college: S.Carolina, agency: Inception Sports) nailed a double-double by scoring 15 points, 18 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and American forward Quincy Miller-Scott (206-92, college: Baylor) accounted for 22 points and 8 rebounds. Nacional's coach Leonardo Zylberstein used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. International center Hatila Passos (211-85, college: NM State) came up with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 17 rebounds and American guard Kelsey Barlow (196-91, college: UIC) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Defensor in the defeat. Four Defensor players scored in double figures. Nacional moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Olimpia. Loser Defensor keeps the eleventh position with eight games lost. They share it with Trouville and O.Mundial. Nacional's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Montevideo Urunday.
