Regular Season Round 13: Aguada - Bigua 70-73

The most exciting game of round 13 in the LUB took place in Montevideo. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 3rd placed Aguada (7-3) to second ranked Bigua (9-1) 73-70 on Wednesday evening. Bigua made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. Strangely Aguada outrebounded Bigua 50-31 including 36 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American Victor Rudd (206-91, college: S.Florida) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws). Guard Santiago Vidal (180-89) contributed with 10 points, 9 assists and 5 steals for the winners. Five Bigua players scored in double figures. The former international guard Federico Bavosi (190-81) answered with 12 points and 8 rebounds and Argentinian Marcos Mata (202-86) added 11 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Aguada. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Goes. Aguada at the other side keeps the third place with three games lost. They share the position with Malvin and Urupan.
