Very predictable result in Mar del Plata where fourth ranked Penarol (10-5) smashed 13th ranked Olimpico (5-8) 84-65 on Sunday. Penarol made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Olimpico's players. American forward Tevin Glass (206-94, college: ETSU, agency: BIG) fired 35 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds for the winners. Bruno Sansimoni (194-96) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 assists. Five Penarol players scored in double figures. Penarol's coach Leandro Ramella used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Elyjah Clark (190-98, college: MSSU) produced 21 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Juan Morales (183-94) added 15 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Penarol have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Ferro. Loser Olimpico keeps the thirteenth position with eight games lost. They share it with Argentino and Platense. Penarol will meet Platense (#15) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Olimpico will play against Argentino in Junin and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
