Not a big story in a game when bottom-ranked Jachal (0-7) was outscored at home by leader Independ.O. (5-0) 96-69 on Sunday. Independ.O. dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Jachal's 32. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was an exceptional evening for swingman Joaquin Noblega (194-97) who led the winners and scored 10 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Jose Bione (200-98) accounted for 16 points for the winning side. Five Independ.O. players scored in double figures. Independ.O.'s coach Martin Gonzalez felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Marco Bosh came up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and forward Lucas Cabanas added 16 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Jachal in the defeat. Independ.O. have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Newly promoted Independ.O. maintains first place with 5-0 record. Jachal at the other side, also newcomer in the league, still closes the standings with seven games lost. Independ.O. will meet Rivadavia (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Jachal will play against Barrio Parque (#4) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
