Regular Season Round 28: Jachal - Barrio Parque 67-106
Date: January 12, 2022
Bottom-ranked Jachal (0-8) is still winless. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their eighth consecutive match to fourth ranked Barrio Parque (5-1) 106-67. Barrio Parque dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Jachal's 30. They outrebounded Jachal 49-19 including a 36-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. Barrio Parque players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Jachal's players. The winners were led by Andres Landoni (203-90) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 30 points and 11 rebounds and swingman Lautaro Rivata (190-87) supported him with 22 points and 9 rebounds. Four Barrio Parque players scored in double figures. Even 20 points and 8 assists by Ismael Sarruff did not help to save the game for Jachal. Power forward Manuel Navarro (193-95) added 14 points for lost side. Jachal's coach Lisandro Salles gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Barrio Parque moved-up to second place, which they share with Ciclista. Newly promoted Jachal still closes the standings with eight games lost. Barrio Parque will play against Rivadavia (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Jachal will have a break next round.
