An interesting game took place in Santiago del Estero where 12th ranked Ferro (7-9) was upset on the court of fifteenth ranked Quimsa (6-9) 104-51. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Ferro. Quimsa dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Ferro's 28. Quimsa forced 29 Ferro turnovers and outrebounded them 45-32 including 30 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 32 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Ferro's players. Guard Francisco Corradi (187-3) notched a double-double by scoring 26 points, 7 rebounds, 10 assists and 7 steals to lead the effort and center Lucio Longoni (205-1) supported him with 12 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Quimsa players scored in double figures. Coach 's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play all 12 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 18 points and 4 assists by point guard Joaquin Lo Brutto (184-3) did not help to save the game for Ferro. Forward Andres Fernandez (196-3) added 12 points and 7 rebounds for the guests. Quimsa maintains fifteenth position with 6-9 record. Ferro at the other side keeps the twelfth place with nine games lost. Quimsa will play against higher ranked Obras (#9) in Buenos Aires in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Ferro will play on the road against Olimpico in La Banda and hopes to get back on the winning track.
