There was a minor upset in Junin where 8th ranked Argentino (8-7) was defeated by eleventh ranked Atenas (8-7) 80-71 on Saturday. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Atenas made 8 blocks. It was a great evening for point guard Maximo Araujo (183-3) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points and 5 rebounds. Ignacio Segura (195-0) helped adding 22 points. The best for the losing side was center Ezequiel Filipetti (200-1) with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 10 rebounds and guard Franco Montemagio (185-2) scored 14 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Argentino players scored in double figures. Argentino's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Atenas moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Argentino. Atenas will meet Penarol (#16) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Argentino will play against Union (#7) in Santa Fe and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
