A very close game took place in Almagro between Obera and San Lorenzo. Eleventh ranked Obera (9-8) got a very close victory on the road over higher ranked San Lorenzo (9-6). Obera managed to escape with a 2-point win 70-68 on Monday evening. American forward Samuel Givens (197-89, college: Drexel) fired a double-double by scoring 14 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Jamaican power forward Clint Robinson (203-94, college: UIC) chipped in 15 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Four Obera players scored in double figures. Obera's coach Fabio Demti used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Leandro Cerminato (201-98) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and guard Facundo Rutenberg (190-1) added 12 points and 13 rebounds respectively for lost side. Obera maintains eleventh place with 9-8 record. Defending champion San Lorenzo dropped to the sixth position with six games lost. They share it with Obras. Obera will meet higher ranked Gimnasia (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. San Lorenzo will have a break next round.
