Everything went according to plan in Florida where fifteenth ranked Platense (6-9) edged bottom-ranked H.Americano (3-10) 77-75 on Monday. However just two-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Platense made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. Felipe Pais (183-90) fired 21 points for the winners. Swingman Lucas Goldenberg (190-93) chipped in 11 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Marcos Saglietti (188-86) produced 21 points and American center Deionte Simmons (205-96, college: Chicago St.) added 15 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Platense moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Riachuelo LR. H.Americano lost sixth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with ten games lost. Platense will meet higher ranked Boca (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. H.Americano will play against Olimpico (#12) in La Banda and hope to secure a win.
