Important game to mention about took place in Corrientes. Fifth ranked Instituto (13-5) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 6th ranked Regatas (11-6) 84-81 on Tuesday evening. Instituto brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Juan Frontera (178-2) who helped to win the game recording 17 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists and point guard Jeronimo Dominguez (179-3) who added 14 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. At the losing side guard Juan Scacchi (186-1) responded with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and DR Congolese center Christ Bonazebi (206-2) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Instituto have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Obera. Regatas at the other side keeps the sixth position with six games lost. Instituto will play against La Union (#14) in Formosa in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Regatas' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Corrientes to the arena San Martin.
