We should mention about the upset which took place in La Rioja, where higher ranked Ferro (10-8) was outleveled in a road game by thirteenth ranked Riachuelo LR (7-9) 100-80 on Tuesday. Riachuelo LR forced 20 Ferro turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Gary Ricks (185-91, college: Drake) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Rodrigo Sanchez (200-89) who added 18 points during the contest. Swingman Valentin Bettiga (189-99) responded with 12 points and 8 rebounds and swingman Julian Morales (195-95) scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Newly promoted Riachuelo LR maintains thirteenth position with 7-9 record. Ferro lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth place with eight games lost.
