Regular Season Round 16: Quimsa - H.Americano 104-70

There was no surprise when 20th ranked H.Americano (1-14) was outleveled by twelfth ranked Quimsa (8-9) in Santiago del Estero 104-70 on Wednesday. Quimsa shot 22 for 32 from the free-throw line, while H.Americano only scored six points from the stripe. They outrebounded H.Americano 39-22 including 25 on the defensive glass. Quimsa shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 53.8 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The winners were led by guard Francisco Corradi (187-3) who scored that evening 29 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and Lucas Chiapella (-4) supported him with 21 points and 5 rebounds. Quimsa's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 23 points and 8 rebounds by swingman Ramiro Ledesma (192-0) did not help to save the game for H.Americano. Guard Braulio Soules (185-3) added 21 points for lost side. Five Quimsa and four H.Americano players scored in double figures. Quimsa have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Argentino. H.Americano lost eighth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 14 games lost. Quimsa will meet at home Argentino (#11) in the next round. H.Americano will play against Riachuelo LR (#9) in La Rioja and hope to win that game.
