There was an upset in La Banda where higher ranked Argentino (8-10) was defeated by seventeenth ranked Olimpico (5-13) 91-76 on Saturday. Olimpico outrebounded Argentino 44-27 including a 33-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was guard David Perez (188-0) who scored 33 points (!!!) and 6 steals. Mohamed Sow chipped in 8 points and 16 rebounds. Olimpico's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Point guard Agustin Cavallin (188-1) produced 23 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Santiago Capelli (180-5) added 16 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals respectively for the guests. Four Argentino players scored in double figures. Olimpico maintains seventeenth place with 5-13 record. Argentino lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the twelfth position with ten games lost. Olimpico will meet higher ranked Obera (#5) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Argentino will play against San Lorenzo (#15) and hope to secure a win.
