There was no surprise in Buenos Aires where 19th ranked Gimnasia CR (3-16) was outplayed by fifth ranked Boca Jrs (13-2) 97-65 on Monday. Boca Jrs dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Gimnasia CR's 40. Boca Jrs forced 20 Gimnasia CR turnovers and outrebounded them 50-34 including a 37-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was guard Juan Contegrand (190-2) who scored 21 points and 5 assists. Forward Santino Romegialli (204-3) chipped in 16 points and 9 rebounds. Five Boca Jrs players scored in double figures. Boca Jrs' coach felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Uruguayan point guard Nicolas Lucchini (188-3) produced 19 points and 7 rebounds and guard Ramiro Stehli (190-2) added 11 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the guests. Boca Jrs have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place. Gimnasia CR lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the nineteenth position with 16 games lost.
