No shocking result in a game in Buenos Aires where eighth ranked Obras (11-7) defeated 18th ranked Platense (3-15) 79-69. Obras shot 21 for 31 from the free-throw line, while Platense only scored five points from the stripe. They outrebounded Platense 61-29 including a 26-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Platense was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for forward Matias Von Schmeling (200-1) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 24 rebounds. Chilean point guard Felipe Inyaco (192-2) contributed with 26 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Tiago Coll (-2) replied with 24 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Giuliano Michelangei (180-0) added 16 points in the effort for Platense. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Obras have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Regatas. Platense at the other side keeps the eighteenth position with 15 games lost. Obras will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
