Regular Season Round 23: Comunicaciones - Olimpico 89-75

An interesting game took place in Mercedes where higher ranked Olimpico (10-11) was upset on the court of nineteenth ranked Comunicaciones (6-12) 89-75 on Sunday. Comunicaciones made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. Comunicaciones outrebounded Olimpico 42-23 including a 36-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for American Jordan Adams (196-94, college: UCLA) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. His fellow American import power forward Franklin Hassell (203-88, college: ODU, agency: SDJ Sports) helped adding 20 points and 12 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). International Leonardo Lema (204-98) responded with 17 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Guillermo Aliende (178-97) scored 21 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Olimpico's coach Leonardo Gutierrez rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Comunicaciones moved-up to fifteenth place. Olimpico at the other side dropped to the twelfth position with 11 games lost. Comunicaciones are looking forward to face higher ranked Riachuelo LR (#10) in La Rioja in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Olimpico will play on the road against H.Americano in Rio Gallegos and is hoping to win this game.
