Regular Season Round 38: Estudiantes C. - Quilmes MP 75-74

No shocking result in a game when tenth ranked Estudiantes C. (5-5) edged 14th ranked Quilmes MP (3-9) in Concordia 75-74 on Thursday. However just one-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Alvaro Yarza notched 14 points and 5 rebounds to lead the effort and Martin Bonja supported him with 14 points. Even 18 points and 5 rebounds by forward Alex Negrete (192-1) did not help to save the game for Quilmes MP. Forward Lucio Castellani (196-94) added 15 points and 7 rebounds for the guests. Four Quilmes MP players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Estudiantes C. moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Parque Sur. Loser Quilmes MP dropped to the fifteenth position with nine games lost. Estudiantes C. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Quilmes MP will play against the league's leader Estudiantes O. (#1) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
