Everything went according to plan in Buenos Aires where sixth ranked Ferro (13-9) won against 11th ranked San Lorenzo (10-9) 72-57 on Saturday. Ferro forced 19 San Lorenzo turnovers and outrebounded them 37-26 including 28 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Jonatan Torresi (190-94) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and point guard Rodrigo Gallegos (186-91) who added 7 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. Ferro's coach Federico Fernandez used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was Leandro Cerminato (201-98) with 8 points and 12 rebounds and guard Facundo Rutenberg (190-1) scored 13 points (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Ferro moved-up to fifth place. Defending champion San Lorenzo dropped to the twelfth position with nine games lost. Ferro will meet higher ranked Gimnasia (#3) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. San Lorenzo will play against Olimpico (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
