Regular Season Round 41: GELP - Rocamora 73-52

Rather predictable result when ninth ranked GELP (7-6) rolled over 12th ranked Rocamora (4-9) in La Plata 73-52 on Thursday. GELP dominated down low during the game scoring 40 of its points in the paint compared to Rocamora's 20. Point guard Carlos Gianella (181) nailed 17 points and 6 assists for the winning side and guard Juan Pablo Lancieri (189-95) accounted for 8 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Manuel Gomez (183-96) came up with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and Galo Impini (194-97) added 11 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Rocamora in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. GELP moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Zarate Basket and Pergamino. Rocamora at the other side keeps the twelfth position with nine games lost. They share it with Lanus. GELP will meet at home league's second-placed Dep Viedma in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Rocamora will play against Lanus (#12) in Buenos Aires and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
