Regular Season Round 22: Nacional - Aguada 86-99

Another interesting game was again a derby between two teams from Montevideo: Aguada (#4) and Nacional (#8). Nacional was defeated at home 86-99 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Aguada made 18-of-22 charity shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. The former international Leandro Morales (186-80, college: Texas A&M, agency: Pro Sports) scored 28 points (made all of his seven free throws) to lead the charge for the winners and American power forward Jamari Traylor (203-92, college: Kansas) chipped in 13 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side Central African-American power forward Johndre Jefferson (207-88, college: S.Carolina, agency: Inception Sports) responded with 18 points and 9 rebounds and American forward Quincy Miller-Scott (206-92, college: Baylor) scored 19 points and 5 rebounds. Five Aguada and four Nacional players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Aguada maintains fourth position with 12-6 record. Nacional at the other side keeps the eighth place with ten games lost. Aguada's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Montevideo Urunday.
