Very predictable result when second ranked San Martin (18-4) won against 12th ranked Union (11-16) in Corrientes 97-86 on Saturday. San Martin outrebounded Union 43-26 including a 32-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Rolando Vallejos (195-0) who led the winners and scored 22 points. Forward Maximiliano Andreatta (211-98, college: Gannon) accounted for 15 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side. San Martin's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Matias Fleury (-1) came up with 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and Lorenzo Micheloni (195-1) added 19 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Union in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for San Martin.
