Regular Season Round 27: San Lorenzo - Gimnasia 73-82
Date: February 19, 2022
No shocking result in a game in Almagro where third ranked Gimnasia (18-8) defeated 12th ranked San Lorenzo (11-11) 82-73 on Saturday. It was a great evening for Cuban forward Joaquin Mensia (198-1997, agency: Pro Sports) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points. The former international Sebastian Vega (200-1988) helped adding 9 points and 7 rebounds. The best for the losing side was the former international forward Matias Sandes (202-1984) with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and Leandro Cerminato (201-1998) scored 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Five San Lorenzo players scored in double figures. Gimnasia maintains third place with 18-8 record having just three point less than leader Quimsa. Defending champion San Lorenzo keeps the twelfth position with 11 games lost. Gimnasia will meet at home Comunicaciones (#16) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. San Lorenzo will play against Platense (#14) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
