There was no surprise when 10th ranked Independiente (7-10) lost to fourth ranked Barrio Parque (12-5) in Santiago del Estero 67-74 on Tuesday. It was an exceptional evening for Andres Landoni (203-1990) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds. Federico Pedano (194-2000) accounted for 21 points for the winning side. Power forward Everton Gomez came up with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Jeremias Sandrini (185-1993, agency: BIG) added 14 points respectively for Independiente in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Barrio Parque have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 12-5 record. Loser Independiente dropped to the eleventh position with ten games lost. Barrio Parque will meet Salta Basket (#7) on the road in the next round. Independiente will have a break next round.
