Very predictable result in Villa Maria where eighth ranked Ameghino (9-8) smashed 15th ranked Echague (2-17) 105-69 on Friday. Ameghino dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Echague's 44. They outrebounded Echague 46-24 including a 33-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Ameghino looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Echague's players. Point guard Tomas Allende (190-2002) fired 24 points for the winners. Carlos Rivero (203-2003) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds. Ameghino's coach Pablo Castro felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Dallas Morgan (185, college: CMU, agency: BIG) produced 16 points and power forward Lisandro Caraballo added 10 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side.
