The game in Chivilcoy supposed to be also quite interesting. 6th ranked Villa Mitre (11-9) played at the court of seventh ranked Racing (11-7). Racing smashed Villa Mitre 96-69 on Wednesday. Racing looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Joaquin Gamazo (198-1991) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds. Carlos Baez (-1993) accounted for 14 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side. Five Racing players scored in double figures. Point guard Jose Gutierrez (185-1987, agency: BIG) came up with 13 points and power forward Ramiro Heinrich (204-1987) added 11 points respectively for Villa Mitre in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Racing have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Zarate Basket. Loser Villa Mitre dropped to the seventh position with nine games lost. Racing will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Villa Mitre will play against Pergamino (#4) and hope to secure a win.
