Not a big story in a game when 17th ranked La Union (8-19) lost to thirteenth ranked Olimpico (13-12) in La Banda 69-83 on Friday. The winners were led by point guard Guillermo Aliende (178-1997) who scored that evening 11 points and 9 assists and naturalized Italian center Damian Tintorelli (205-1981) supported him with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Four Olimpico players scored in double figures. Even 22 points and 7 rebounds by forward Patricio Tabarez (195-1991) did not help to save the game for La Union. Point guard Nicolas Ferreyra (181-1985) added 11 points and 4 assists for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Olimpico moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Obras. Loser La Union keeps the seventeenth position with 19 games lost. They share it with Union SF. Olimpico will meet higher ranked Ferro (#4) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. La Union will play against Regatas (#8) in Corrientes and hope to secure a win.
