We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in La Banda where 9th ranked Regatas (15-13) was edged by tenth ranked Olimpico (15-12) 80-79 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was naturalized Italian center Damian Tintorelli (205-1981) who scored 11 points and 8 rebounds. Venezuelan swingman Pedro Chourio (186-1990, agency: Pro Sports) chipped in 15 points. Olimpico's coach Leonardo Gutierrez used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Guard Juan Arengo (185-1996) produced 23 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international forward Facundo Pinero (202-1988) added 9 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Olimpico have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to ninth place. Regatas lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with 13 games lost. Olimpico will meet league's second-placed Gimnasia in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
