Rather predictable result in Santiago del Estero where tenth ranked Independiente (9-12) smashed 14th ranked Jachal (3-19) 90-55 on Friday. Independiente forced 25 Jachal turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 4 passes made by Jachal's players. The best player for the winners was Luciano Tambucci (194-1998) who scored 17 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Power forward Everton Gomez chipped in 11 points and 8 rebounds. Power forward Manuel Navarro (193-1995) produced 26 points and 7 rebounds and Cuban power forward Marlon Diaz (200-1998) added 7 points and 13 rebounds respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Independiente maintains tenth position with 9-12 record, which they share with Lanus. Jachal lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fourteenth place with 19 games lost.
