Regular Season Round 8: Quimsa - Ferro 46-44

Bottom-ranked Ferro (0-6) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 46-44 loss to third ranked Quimsa (5-4) in Santiado del Estero on Monday evening. The best player for the winners was center Andrea Ledesma (182-1996) who scored 12 points. Point guard Lucia Boggetti (162-1998) chipped in 10 points. Forward Tamara Pinto (183-1999) produced 7 points and 11 rebounds and swingman Sofia Paoli (178-1996) added 10 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Ferro's coach Carlos Denegri rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Quimsa maintains third position with 5-4 record despite having the same number of points like the leader Corrientes. Ferro at the other side still closes the standings with six games lost. Quimsa will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Ferro will play at home against Los Indios (#5) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
