Regular Season Round 7: Racers - Lenadoras 58-89

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 4th placed Racers' (0-5) home loss to third ranked Lenadoras (2-5) in Saltillo 58-89 on Saturday. Lenadoras shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. It was an exceptional evening for Isis Haros who led the winners and scored 24 points and 8 rebounds. American guard Kala Green (175-1996, college: NC A&T) accounted for 20 points and 5 assists for the winning side. Four Lenadoras players scored in double figures. Mitzi Lopez came up with 14 points and Argentinian guard Julieta Tell (172-1993) added 7 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Racers in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Lenadoras maintains third place with 2-5 record having five points less than leader Phoenix. Racers lost their fifth game in a row. Newly promoted team still closes the standings with five games lost. Lenadoras will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Racers will play again against Lenadoras (#3) and hope to get finally their first victory.
