Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both tenth ranked Santiagueno and 8th ranked Chalchuapa had identical 1-2 record. This time Santiagueno used a home court advantage and rolled over the opponent from Chalchuapa 109-84 on Sunday night. Santiagueno dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Chalchuapa's 48. They outrebounded Chalchuapa 61-22 including a 21-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Santiagueno looked well-organized offensively handing out 35 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Chalchuapa's players. The winners were led by American-Colombian center Freddy Asprilla (206-1988, college: Canisius) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 27 points, 30 rebounds and 7 assists and Kymanie Robinson supported him with 23 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Santiagueno players scored in double figures. Even 35 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds by American forward Jose Ortiz (190-1990, college: DelVal) did not help to save the game for Chalchuapa. Puerto Rican point guard Ryann Abraham (182-1987, college: App State) added 26 points and 5 assists for lost side. Santiagueno (2-2) moved-up to sixth place. Loser Chalchuapa dropped to the ninth position with three games lost. They share it with Santa Ana. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
