Regular Season Round 32: Atenas - Union 97-93

Very expected game when 15th ranked Union (13-22) lost to tenth ranked Atenas (15-15) in Cordoba 93-97. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Atenas made 21-of-26 charity shots (80.8 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Maximo Araujo (183-2003) who helped to win the game recording 38 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 6 assists and Ignacio Segura (195-2000) who added 14 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Atenas' coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Lorenzo Micheloni (195-2001) responded with 25 points and Jeronimo Muller (183-2002) scored 18 points and 5 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Atenas have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to ninth place. Union at the other side keeps the fifteenth position with 22 games lost. Atenas will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Union will play on the road against Instituto (#5) in Cordoba and hopes to get back on the winning track.
