The most crucial game of the last round was another loss of Phoenix (2-4) at the home court. Hosts were rolled over by Mieleras (8-0) 97-53. Mieleras dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Phoenix's 34. Mieleras forced 31 Phoenix turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. The winners were led by American forward Destiny Campbell (185, college: ECU) who scored that evening 25 points and Mayra Gil (-2003) supported her with 17 points and 5 assists. Five Mieleras players scored in double figures. Mieleras' coach Jonathan Villegas felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists by Viridiana Ramirez (172-1986) did not help to save the game for Phoenix. The former international guard Angelica Molina (160-1993) added 13 points for the hosts. Mieleras have an impressive eight-game winning streak.
