Regular Season Round 61: Lanus - Quilmes MP 81-84

A very close game took place in Buenos Aires between Quilmes MP and Lanus. Twelfth ranked Quilmes MP (9-14) got a very close victory on the road over 11th ranked Lanus (9-13). Quilmes MP managed to escape with a 3-point win 84-81 on Monday evening. Quilmes MP made 23-of-26 free shots (88.5 percent) during the game. Forward Alex Negrete (192-2001) fired 22 points and 8 rebounds for the winners (made all of his eleven free throws !!!). Forward Lucio Castellani (196-1994) chipped in 20 points and 5 rebounds. Four Quilmes MP players scored in double figures. Center Sebastian Chaine (201-1986) produced 19 points and point guard Mariano Gago (188-2001) added 18 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Quilmes MP maintains twelfth place with 9-14 record. Newly promoted Lanus keeps the eleventh position with 13 games lost. They share it with Dep Norte. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
